Description
This is a large piece of Artwork contained on three cardboard panels. This piece of work was completed in 2017 by primary 3 - 5 pupils of a Primary School in Govan, Glasgow, during their after school Art Club. The inspiration behind the piece arose from the children wanting to create art in relation to a flock of flying birds. When they put the word murmuration into the computer search engine, a picture of daily International aviation flight paths was displayed, which also looked like the murmuration of a flock of birds. The children then formed this piece, showing the similarity between the murmuration of a flock of birds and the migration of people, utilising paper aeroplanes. This Art work was displayed at Cass Art in Glasgow and also at the Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow. It was also an entry to the Saatchi Art competition. As storage is now a problem, sadly this piece has to be let go. It is free to a good home, however any donation towards the school art club, which is self funded, would be greatly appreciated. The dimensions of the 3 panels are approx: Sides: 167 cm x 58 cm; and the Centre Panel: 168 cm x 143 cm.
